Rachel Kleinig

Rachel was employed as the youth worker in August this year. She works three days a week for the church. The rest of the week she is at Bunnings, where she has worked for the last 9 years.

Although Rachel was born in Midland, she grew up in Melbourne with her mother Susan and younger brother James. After finishing high school in 2001 she moved back to Perth. She still flies home regularly to see them.

Rachel has studied both counselling and youth development. After her studies Rachel worked and lived in a home for teenage girls at risk. These girls had trouble living at home or simply had nowhere but the streets to live.

Rachel has been married to her husband Glen for four years. Glen works as a programmer and is responsible for this website. They both own motorbikes and love to go to the movies.

Rachel accepted the job as Youth Worker because she believes that every young person should have the opportunity to be all they can be - to grow up and fulfil their dreams. Her desire is that each young person is brought into community and has an opportunity to discover that God is there.
